2020 APHA Youth World is Around the Corner!

The 2020 APHA Youth World Show is currently on schedule; however, we are continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow the direction and guidance of federal, state and local authorities. We will be sure to communicate any changes as soon as possible. Should the Youth World Show be canceled due to COVID-19, full refunds will be granted, so there is absolutely no risk in sending in your pre-entries to qualify for the best rates!

Entries are welcome anytime before 5 p.m. the day prior to the class you plan to enter. Higher fees apply.

OVER $250,000 in scholarships & prizes awarded to APHA youth! 

  • $110,000+ in scholarships awarded in World Championship classes- 1st – 3rd place plus one random exhibitor per class
  • All-Around Winners (13 & U, 14-18 & Novice)- $1,000 scholarships each
  • Power Performance High-Point Western Youth Champion – $1,000 scholarship
  • Robyn Hanna Scholarship Award Winner- $1,000 scholarship
  • New Classes: Youth Overo Color Class, Youth Tobiano Color Class

Complimentary Digital Videos to All Exhibitors:

Every exhibitor will receive a complimentary digital video of each of their classes/runs courtesy of APHA! Equine Promotion, the Official Videographer of the APHA World Championship Shows, will automatically email exhibitors a link to their class video. No sign-up is necessary. Be sure to provide your current email address with your entries to ensure you receive your video emails.

Solid Paint-Bred Opportunities:

Solid Paint-Bred horses are eligible to compete with Regular Registry Paints in non-World Championship, non-pointed classes at the Youth World Show.

Roping: If there are no entries in a youth roping class by the pre-entry deadline of May 29, the roping class will not be offered this year.

Youth World Show Eligibility Requirements

All horses must be owned or leased by the Youth exhibitor or eligible family member per Rule YP-015 as recorded by APHA postmarked by the pre-entry deadline, May 29. Youth or eligible family members who own/lease their horses after the May 29 postmark deadline (as recorded by APHA) are eligible to compete for Youth World Show titles and awards upon payment of a $500 fee (applied to the APHF Youth World Show Scholarship Fund), but they will not be eligible to earn scholarship money.
