SmartPak Announces Return of SmartCookies Flavor Contest

This season’s contest will launch February 9th and you’ll have until February 14th to get your flavor idea in, so don’t wait! No idea is too crazy, so be sure to tell friends and barn mates so they can enter too. Once all of the ideas have been submitted, a team of SmartPak judges will look at all the awesome ideas submitted and pick their Top 3.

Could Blocking a Certain Enzyme Help Laminitis, and Have Applications For Human Arthritis?

“A horse’s hoof is like a human nail, except they stand on it all day long,” says Guedes. “The hoof wall is attached to the bone by a very tough tissue that interconnects like a zipper, which is called the digital laminae. Certain proteins hold the digital laminae together, and when there is inflammation, such as with laminitis, those proteins break down and the hoof’s connection to the bone breaks apart.”

NSBA Announces New Cinch First 2 Finish Trail Duel Coming to 2019 NSBA World

The First 2 Finish Trail Duel is a head-to-head match up against the clock. It’s a timed race over Trail obstacles where the winner will be crowned based on a combination of time and penalties. The event is open to youth, non pro, and open exhibitors that will compete against each other for their share of a $15,000 purse. Additionally, a $1,000 bonus will be paid out to the highest placing non pro exhibitor in the class.

NCEA Weekend Recap- Auburn, TCU, South Carolina, Georgia, Baylor Score Wins

The No. 1 Auburn equestrian team opened up a busy weekend at the Auburn University Equestrian Center with an impressive 17-0 win over No. 10 UT Martin Friday afternoon. The victory marked the third-straight win over a Top 10 team in 2019 and moved the Tigers to 8-0 on the year.

Sophomore equestrian Sharese Rivait had two entries that she created for a concepts class in her advertising major: a Milk-Bone Brushing Chews print campaign she came up with at the start of the semester and a Bird Scooter video campaign that her and a partner finished during finals. A few names were called. Then, Rivait heard her name announced, loud and clear, as winner of Best Concept and again, for Best Video Commercial. The Orillia, Ontario, Canada, native, was thrilled.

– Went 2-0 last week for the Bulldogs in Horsemanship.
– Earned a 73-71 victory over her Delaware State opponent on February 1.
– Won her second point of the weekend with a 74-73.5 win over her Auburn opponent on February 2.
