This year’s March To The Arch may have changed locations from Lake St. Louis, MO. to Cordova, TN., but some things have stayed the same. The charity horse show will still help to raise funds for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The show has contributed $650,000 to the cause since its inception. Also, returning to the show, this evening in fact, is the popular Exhibitors’ Party and Live Auction.

The MTTA will offer five sets of AQHA points, four sets of NSBA points, and a special event Pleasure and Trail, April 25-28. Judges for the show are Michael Ochetto, Kendra Weis, Jeff Greaves, Robin Winbush, Mark Russell, Beckey Schooler, Lynda Danielson, Leslie Lange, Nancy Renfro, Ronnie Casper, Jennifer Lynn Thompson, and Randy Jacobs.

This evening, the Exhibitors’ Party will be held in conjunction with the Premier Sires 4 and 5-Year-Old Trail. There is also a Bridleless Trail with bonus points being awarded for clever costumes. Exhibitors will be auctioned off in a calcutta with the proceeds going to St. Judes. The live auction has some fantastic items this year including a handmade Trail bridge, show pads from Roany Pony, pottery made by Verlin Potts, rubber ties donated by Dave and Brenda Kellerman, jewelry by Hannah’s Jewelry, and a Horsemanship shirt by Trudy Black Label.

A few champions have already been named in two Premier Quarter Sires classes. Brad Ost rode Shown My Ace to win $1,100 in Level 2 Senior Trail for Darla Blanchard. The Reserve Champion was Sara Simons with KM Jazz It Up, winning $850 for Sheila Franklin. Third was Martin Doustou with Too Sleepy To Drink, winning $600 for Doris Distel. Fourth was Troy Lehn with Ramblin Man, winning $450 for Darla Blanchard. Fifth was Clint Ainsworth with Sleepinwithmybootson, winning $250 for Round Meadows Ranch.

Kaitlin LeBlanc rode Blue Sky Enterprise to win $10,625 in the 3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Hunter Under Saddle for Capall Creek Farm. The Reserve Champion and winner of $6,875 was Jamie English with Al Be Bleu for Wendy Whittington. Third place was Mandie House with The Right Mechanic, winning $4,375 for Anna and Jimmy Langley. Fourth was Shannon Vroegh with Thank God Its Friday, winning $3,750 for Heather Maas. Fifth was Sara Simons with Original Barbie, winning $3,125 for Buddy and Renee Job. Sixth was Ryan Painter with My Wish, winning $2,500 for Angie Highland.
