The 2014 March To The Arch Quarter Horse show kicked off bright and early this morning in Lake St. Louis, Missouri to an outstanding crowd of participants eager to help raise funds for the 2014 charity, The Children’s Hospital of St. Louis. Over the past eight years since the show’s inception, the event has raised a whopping $345,000 for charity!

Not only is this a fabulous fundraising event, the MTTA horse show has quickly become an exhibitor favorite with large class numbers, competitive turnout, and incredible prizes. The judges who have generously donated their time and services to the cause include Jonathan Meilleur, Sissy Anderson, Cindy Rucker, GiGi Bailey, Bruce Walquist, Jennifer Leckey, and John Briggs.

Hilarity will ensue Friday evening during the mane event, the highly anticipated “Ladies” Showmanship. Champion and Reserve Champion Best Costume awards will be presented by Mid Rivers Equine. In addition, there will be an Exhibitors’ Party and a Silent and Live Auction. There will also be a Cancer Survivor Recognition Ceremony. For the past few weeks, we’ve been giving our readers a sneak peek at a few of the great items up for grabs in the auctions. Click here to take a look.

This Golden West pad by Lori Heckaman is just one item that will be available during the auction.

According to horse show management, there are some special items reserved for Highpoint awards in the Open, Amateur, Select, Novice Amateur, Novice Youth, 13 & under, and 14-18 divisions. Highpoint Champions will receive $1,000 in cash! The Reserve Highpoint Champion will receive a trainer’s board, and third place will receive a monogrammed horse cooler. If you don’t receive one of these many great prizes, be sure to stop by the March To The Arch Boutique where you can purchase official logo goods such as leather pillows, crystal-encrusted drink holders, hats, shirts, and much more. Please note that boutique items pictured below are not available for purchase online.
