While everyone on the southern coast of the U.S. was hunkered down in preparation for the impending arrival of Hurricane Irma, those farther north were eagerly anticipating the start of The American Royal Quarter Horse Show in Kansas City, MO. The show kicked off Thursday evening with a BBQ Party for competitors, sponsored by Barbie Evans and Bunting Performance Horses, and continued with competition through September 10th. Judges for the show were Sissy Anderson, Kelly Chapman, Jessica Gilliam Robert Dehn, Liz Baker, and Melissa Dukes.

CJP_0165On Friday, competitors and spectators were treated to The Royal Feast! All participants were invited to bring a dish to serve in front of their stalls. Each barn was given a different course to prepare. Printable menu were made available so spectators could graze the mouth-watering selections.
