Super Sires Winners at March to the Arch Are Angela Fox and Sharon Forbes-Hanks

Non-Pro All Age Hunter Under Saddle winner- Angela Fox and Makin Me Happy.

One of the highlights of the March To The Arch horse show that took place in Fort Worth, Texas over the weekend were two Super Sires classes. Executive Committee members, Joan Schroeder and Stephen Stephens, presented awards in the $2,500 added Non-Pro All Aged Hunter Under Saddle Stakes and $1,250 Added Amateur Select Horsemanship Stakes.

Second place- Lauren Huffaker with Couture Down South

The Super Sires program has given away over $700,000 in awards and prizes since the program’s inception and has over $121,000 to giveaway in 2022. They would like to extend special thanks to stallion owners and sponsors, including: The Equine Chronicle, Nutrena, PulseVet Shockwave – the official shockwave of Super Sires, Tom Powers Futurity, Rod Patrick Boots, Just Stitch It, and Rowdy Silver Buckles.

The winner of the Super Sires Non-Pro All Aged Hunter Under Saddle Stakes with $2,500 added was Angela Fox with Makin Me Happy (Makin Me Willy Wild x My Invested Machine, by A Good Machine). This team received $1,255.50, a Super Sires silver tray, NSBA trophy, a Super Sires Champion cooler, and a Super Sires halter.

Second place was Lauren Huffaker with Couture Down South (Its a Southern Thing x Blue Couture by Skys Blue Boy). This team won $976.50. Third was Isabella Buckley with Shes Rockin My Dream (The Rock x Secrete Dreams, by A Dream Remembered). This team won $558.

The Stallion Bonus Money was as follows:

1st- $139.50- Makin Me Willy Wild
2nd- $108.50- Its a Southern Thing
3rd- $62.00- The Rock

Select Horsemanship Stakes Champion- Sharon Forbes-Hanks and Lopin Makes Me Lazy

The winner of the Super Sires Select Horsemanship Stakes with $1,250 added was Sharon Forbes-Hanks with Lopin Makes Me Lazy (Lazy Loper x One Southern Glow, by One Chip Shy). This team won $749.25, a Super Sires silver tray, NSBA trophy, a Super Sires Champion cooler, and a Super Sires halter. Second place was Cheryl Kolb with My Sweet Assets (Blazing Hot x Sheza Sweet Asset, by Protect Your Assets). This team won $582.75. Third place was Kathy Lee with Terrific Lee Hot (Blazing Hot x Mystic Lee Terrific, by Misterrific Can). This team won $333.

Second place- Cheryl Kolb with My Sweet Assets

The Stallion Bonus Money was as follows:

1st- $83.25- Lazy Loper
2nd- $64.75- Blazing Hot
3rd- $37- Blazing Hot

Next up for the Super Sires program is the A Sudden Impulse show in Ocala, FL with the following classes:

  • $6,000 added Open Maturity Stakes
  • $4,000 added Open Maturity Stakes – Limited

Third place- Kathy Lee and Terrific Lee Hot
