The PCQHA approved 6-judge Summer Celebration Quarter Horse Circuit brought out top exhibitors from all over the state of California. Starting a day early, Summer Celebration began classes on Wednesday, June 29 and ended on Saturday, July 2 to accommodate travel to the new EMO Western States Championship show. Held at the legendary Murieta Equestrian Center in Rancho Murieta, California, the show went off without a hitch, thanks to the staff of Track One Events and Poncie Gimple.

Although the weather was warm, a record number of exhibitors enjoyed a full slate of Quarter Horse classes for Cutting, Working Cowhorse, Reining, English and Western Rail, plus Trail classes. Exhibitors vied for the coveted circuit awards, which included Custom Director’s Chairs and Silverado Silver Buckles in sponsored classes, plus many other cool prizes. Show Manager, Poncie Gimple of Track One Events, says, “We kept the show running and mostly indoors to allow exhibitors to keep cool.” In addition, free waters were available at each gate to ensure exhibitors were hydrated.
