During Jim’s vice presidency, AQHA was sued over its embryo transfer rule. The Executive Committee eventually settled the embryo transfer lawsuit, allowing horse owners to register more than one of a mare’s offspring each year, with no damages awarded. But it was Jim’s experience with legal matter that became invaluable during that time of turmoil.

Continue reading …Participants check in at the Kentucky Horse Park Visitor Center where a variety of food and beverage offerings, including local craft beers and food trucks, information tables and horse meet-and-greets will be available. Special guests and entertainment will be available on select nights throughout the summer. Cyclists are welcome to join the Bluegrass Cycling Club that leaves the park at 6 p.m. for rides through Lexington and Georgetown. A weekly schedule of guests, food trucks and entertainment will be posted on the park’s website and the park’s social media sites.

When the Taylors were offered the chance to buy Zippo LTD, they were hesitant at first. LT was 14 years old and Julia only had a few years left in youth. They worried about his health and how he would hold up. Two World Championships, in Showmanship and Western Riding, and two Youth Reserve World Championships in three years seemed to quell the concerns about LT’s health or abilities. Julia and LT also won the Youth 14-18 Trail at the 2003 Congress.”
