AQHA provided scholarship funding to the college or university of the world champion team, reserve world champion team and third-place teams in the junior and senior college divisions in the contest.
• World champion team: $2,000
• Reserve world champion team: $1,250
• Third-place team: $750

At the AQHA Level 1 Championships West, the sorrel gelding named A Classic Iron was named the unanimous Champion in Amateur Working Hunter, Reserve Champion in Amateur Equitation Over Fences, placed third in Amateur Hunter Hack, and placed sixth in Select Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation. A Classic Iron is by These Irons Are Hot and out of the Thoroughbred mare Debs Delivery. He is owned and shown by Pam Stubbs. Due to their exceptional performance at the show, Pam and A Classic Iron were named the High Point Select Amateur English Team.
