This evening featured a fun-filled night full of fast-paced Ranch Riding entertainment. Returning World Champion, Tricia Sarchett, dominated a challenging pattern aboard her stallion, Blazing N My Boomers, to win this year.

“You need to have a strong and willing horse this time of the year. They’ve been to the Congress for three weeks and been shown. Then, they’ve got to come home and sit for a bit. Then, they have to get ready again. It takes a special horse to get here.”

“It’s been a long time coming,” she says. “It just gets me all teared up. I’m very excited. I’ve been coming to the World Show for longer than I can remember. I showed as a youth when the show was still in Tulsa, probably 79′ to 84′. And, I’ve been coming ever since.”

“My heart is still racing,” she says. “I didn’t know if it would be possible. I love the horse, and I know that everybody else loves him. I don’t know… I thought maybe because I’m a female it might be a little harder for me. It takes a special horse to get there, and he was that horse.”

Jason Martin and Elis A Sleepin celebrated their win in Senior Western Riding by doing a few extra lead changes during their victory lap this evening at the AQHA World Championship Show.
