The TQHA-Region 7 Show Committee is proud to present the Lucky Seven Classic- May 4-13 at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The show has a new format for 2018 with eight shows over two weekends, two special events, and $25,000 in prize money.

The study identifies a genetic mutation- Myosin Heavy Chain 1 (MYH1)- that’s linked to severe and sudden muscular atrophy. DNA testing indicated that the mutation is more commonly found in Quarter Horse stallions from Reining and Reined Cow Horse disciplines.

Considered an emerging sport by the NCAA, the UC Davis equestrian team will compete nationally under the governance of the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) against other large public schools like Fresno State, Georgia, and Texas A&M. A unique aspect of the equestrian team will be its partnership with the School of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences – both regarded as world-leaders in teaching and research in their respective fields.
