Unfortunately, the nurse mare didn’t take to the new filly either. So in order to provide the foal with the necessary nutrition, an Igloo cooler was retrofitted with a sheep nipple to allow for nursing. Finally, a bit of success! The filly took to nursing from the cooler quickly, allowing for one big hurdle to be overcome.

Exhibitors can qualify to compete in Level 3 13-&-Under western pleasure, hunter under saddle, horsemanship, hunt seat equitation, showmanship, ranch riding and trail at the 2018 Ford Youth World. The world champion, reserve world champion, top-10 placings and five finalists will be awarded in each Level 3 13-&-Under class. Winners in the 13-&-Under classes will be awarded as a one-go-round format.
