It was their last class of the 2025 AQHA West L1 Championships, and Meghan Renfro and Born N East LA exited the show with style! Meghan and “Nash” finished their show with a bang by earning a Gold trophy in the L1 Youth 14-18 Hunt Seat Equitation.
The Renfros have owned Nash since he was a yearling, and he’s seven now, explains, Meghan, who is also the Pacific Coast Youth Quarter Horse Association Vice President. “We kind of had a downfall when he got sick a couple of years ago, but now we’re back at it and getting better,” she says.
She loves Nash, aka Nash Nashville, because he’ll never run off, and he’s always a happy horse. “He’s such a great horse,” explains Meghan. Their pattern together was strongest in the hand gallop or the back, she says, and she was happy to end the show on a great note. “I just want to thank my mom, and my sister, and the whole barn, and Andrew and Alex, the people that we purchased him as a yearling, for everything.”
