The last champion of the 2025 NSBA World Championship Show was crowned in Tulsa, as Lexie Arrington and Wild Cardd claimed victory in the Maturity Limited Non-Pro Western Pleasure.

A Winning Partnership

Arrington reflected on her partnership with “Paul,” as the stallion is affectionately known:

“He’s four years old now. Clay (Arrington) and Paul Thurston owned him through his three-year-old year last year, and then Clay and I took over as his full owners this year,” Lexie said. “I love his heart. He’s a show horse. Even if he doesn’t have a great warm-up, he goes in the pen and he shows up. He loves his job and he does it well. The best part about him is he goes around so soft and so easy, and he’s just so beautiful—I’m obsessed with him.”

Multiple Wins in Tulsa

Earlier that same day, Lexie and “Paul” claimed the win in the $10,000 Limited Non-Pro Western Pleasure Maturity, while Clay finished third in both Junior Western Pleasure and the $10,000 Limited Horse Open Western Pleasure.

It’s All in the Cards

Wild Cardd is by Makin Me Willy Wild and out of Ms Miracle Zip by Prinzziple. The four-year-old stallion will stand to the public for the first time with cooled semen in 2026.

When asked about her distinction as the last world champion of the 2025 NSBA World Championship Show and Breeders Championship Futurity, Lexie laughed, “I was sure happy I was the last champion, but I’m sure happy it’s time to go home. I’m tired!”

Congratulations to Lexie and Paul—and to all of the world and futurity champions crowned at the NSBA World Championship Show and Breeders Championship Futurity!
