Kough, Preston, and Poignant Win Big in Western Riding at 2013 AjPHA Youth World Show

A group of very good-minded all around horses showed their stuff in the western riding classes this evening at the 2013 AjPHA Youth World Show to the tune of some explosive fireworks. At the conclusion of a very late evening three World Champions and two Intermediate Champions were crowned.

Winning the Novice Youth Western Riding 18 and Under was Delaney Kough riding Gota Take A Chance. Coming in Reserve was Hannah Stephens riding Sensational Hannah. Rounding out the top three was Alexandra Fink riding Oh Good Heavens.

In the 13 and Under Western Riding, Mackenzie Preston rode Brokers Lucky Kid to a unanimous World Championship win. The Reserve winner was Mary Camp with Zippos Redemption. Third place was Olivia Eagles with Chipped In Roses. Eagles also won the Intermediate award in the class. The Reserve Intermediate winner was Kara Stark riding Regal Cadet.

The World Champion in the 14-18 Western Riding was Leroy Poignant with Ill Be Sensational, who received two firsts and three seconds. The Reserve World Champion was Alysia Nielson riding Sensational Dee. Coming in third was Taylor Dixon riding My Sensational Cookie. The Intermediate winner in 14-18 Western Riding was Kristina Hermanson riding Total Assets. The Reserve Intermediate winner was Kelsey Jung riding A Painted Selection.
