Friday evening at the 2025 AQHA World Championship Show, two teams tied for first in the L3 Junior Ranch Riding Finals — Bud Lyon and Bet Gone Blue, and Kendall Woellmer and Ciphered Code.
A runoff followed, with loud cheers from the crowd during both runs, and after the two teams were finished, Ciphered Code with Kendall Woellmer of K Bar W Performance Horses not only were crowned World Champions – they also broke the arena record, setting a new record with a score of 251.
The 2020 sorrel gelding by Electric Code and out of Shezsopretty (by Lil Joe Cash) is owned by Jenny Loveland of Scottsdale, and “Dusty” was bred by Clint Haverty of Gainesville, Texas.
On the K Bar W social media pages, they had this to say about the incredible day with Dusty, aka Dusty Rhodes:
A huge congratulations to Ciphered Code and his owner, Jenny Loveland, on this incredible achievement. Jenny, thank you for trusting us with this special horse and believing in his talent every step of the way. Wins like these are built on great partnerships, hard work, and heart — and Dusty brought all of it to the arena today. We couldn’t be more proud of Kendall, Dusty, and the whole K Bar W team for rising to the moment and delivering under pressure. What a day to remember!
