From Equine Guelph:

Are you ready for an e-book full of fun facts all about equines?

Equine Connection and Equine Guelph have partnered on an online educational initiative, “Who Knew? Fun Facts & Why it Matters.”

After collecting input from our followers and adding a few of our own lessor known truths, the e-book is ready to share.  Grab your esoteric piece of information for the day and share with your equine acquaintances.

Did you know horses have one of the smallest stomachs, relative to their size, of all mammals?  Did you know they cannot vomit?  Do you know why horses can sleep standing up?  Ever heard of fairy slippers?

A great resource for instructors, riding camps and all equestrians with inquiring minds!  The e-book is full of information on nutrition, vision, hearing, health, anatomy, breeds, safety and equine behaviour.

The e-book can be downloaded from Equine Guelph’s members resources page.  All you need to do is sign up for Equine Guelph’s free monthly E-newsletter.  Already a member and lost the link to the resource page? Just update your information to receive the link and add the URL to your favorite bookmarks.

“We are pleased to be part of this fun initiative with Equine Connection,” says Equine Guelph director, Gayle Ecker.  “Horses share some things similar to us, but there are important differences.  When we know about those differences and why they are like that, we are in a better position to care for their unique needs and promote good health and welfare.”

Equine Guelph recently celebrated their 20th anniversary of providing evidence-based education through online courses for horse caregivers.  As pioneers in online equine education, Equine Guelph caters to equine enthusiasts of all ages with programs including the EquiMania! youth education display, TheHorsePortal.ca short courses all the way up to university level certificates and a diploma program.

“We are so excited to be joining forces with Equine Guelph, we are proud to bring even more fun and educational opportunities to the horse-loving world,” says Equine Connection founder, Kari Fulmek. “With a shared passion for all equines and their welfare! You don’t know what you don’t know until you do, and that’s why this fun book of facts and why they matter will benefit all horse lovers – both new and experienced!”

Equine Connection offers a global certification course in Equine Assisted Learning. This unique business training works with horses in a completely different way to help people! Equine Assisted Learning positively impacts people’s lives through working through objectively driven programs while keeping the welfare of the horse at the base of all training.

Equine Connection and Equine Guelph invite you learn fun and cool facts about horses in the new e-book, “Who Knew? Fun Facts & Why it Matters.”
