Press release

USRider, the national provider of roadside emergency assistance for equestrians, is proud to announce USRider Roadside, a new mobile-phone application designed to provide its members with a tool for making service requests and dispatches more efficient.

USRider’s service is available 24/7, and the new app provides members the convenience of requesting emergency roadside assistance electronically. Membership and vehicle information will be stored by the app in order for USRider Member Care Specialists to quickly locate the member’s account and place a call to them. Also, the GPS-enabled technology will allow USRider to pinpoint the member’s location and accurately dispatch service.

“We developed this app because our members sometimes would have difficulty describing their exact whereabouts to our Member Service Dispatch Center,” said USRider General Manager Bill Riss. “Through the USRider Roadside app, our member’s exact GPS location is provided to USRider, as well as vehicle details and the nature of the disablement. The app can also provide the member with updates on the status of their service dispatch. Our members love it.”

USRider – in its twelfth year of operation – is the only company to provide emergency roadside assistance for horse owners. Through the Equestrian Motor Plan, USRider provides nationwide roadside assistance and towing services along with other travel-related benefits to its Members. The plan includes standard features such as flat-tire repair, battery assistance, lockout services, and roadside repairs for tow vehicles and trailers with horses, plus towing up to 100 miles. As an additional service, USRider maintains a national database that includes emergency stabling, veterinary and farrier referrals when needed by its Members.
