Change is inevitable in life. We grow. We age. We gain wisdom through experience. Life is a continual progression of releasing what was, and making room for what’s to come.

In this way, 2025 marked the beginning of a new chapter for AQHA amateur competitor John Whitney. He achieved two of his biggest wins to date, completing a goal that had been on his vision board for decades.

He saw the birth of his first child, Bennett. He relinquished the reins of his horse, Likely Machine Made, to his wife, Erika, and looks forward to the prospect of a new project on the horizon.

It was quite the year, and it’s only the beginning.
