Did you know this? Why do some Paint Horses have a “medicine hat?”

Medicine Hat Horses are part of Native American legend, earning their place in history as a horse that would protect its rider from injury and death through its magical powers and its ability to warn the riders of dangers. In particular, the horse was valued as the mount for the medicine man of the tribe, and some say only the medicine men, great warriors, or chiefs were allowed to ride these rare equines.  Those with two blue eyes were even more cherished.

What do you know about the Medicine Hat horse?
