East Coast Color Rama Hosts JT Thomas Memorial WP Stakes During 3-Day Event

The Carolina Paint Horse Club hosted another successful East Coast Color Rama show that boasted eight APHA judges over three days in Williamston, NC.

Due to the constraints of COVID 19 in 2020, this was the first time a lot of our exhibitors have been able to show in 2020. As always, APHA has the safety and best interests of their exhibitors as a top priority, and we had many safety measures in place as well.

We utilized the Horse Show Tracker app program to keep exhibitors informed of placings and class numbers. We also used the incredible new Equiscribe Scribing program that’s a game changer for horse shows where exhibitors can access their digitized score sheets online in real time.

This show continues to attract exhibitors from several states such as Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, New York, Virginia, Tennessee and many others. We had some very good class sizes and are encouraged by the fact that this show continues to grow each year. We are looking forward to this show in 2021 as we relocate the show dates to the Fall.

This show also hosts our annual JT Thomas Memorial Open Western Pleasure Sweepstakes class. This class offered a guaranteed $1,550 money added to the entry fee pot, as well as additional $250 payouts to the top amateur and youth showing their own horses. We would like to congratulate Scott Thomas of Scott Thomas Show Horses exhibiting APHA/AQHA gelding MoneysOnMyMind, owned by Donna and Al Matarazzo, who was the winner of this class. We would like to thank all the sponsors who contributed so we are able to continue to honor the memory of the late JT Thomas: Scott Thomas Performance Horses, Boo Yah Custom Show Clothing, Sylvia Graham, The Brewer Family, David Johnson, Karla Reed, Donna Matarazzo, and Janet Kennedy.
