Developer of Injectable Laminitis Drug Turning to Crowdfunding Campaign to Complete FDA Regulatory Process

The Laminil team has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise the money needed for Laminil to finish the regulatory process. We’re so close. We just need to submit Laminil’s data to the FDA to make this drug available to laminitic horses.

We’re calling on horse lovers everywhere to join us in raising the necessary funds and helping spread the word to others.

If horse lovers donate $10 in the name of their horse, we will list the horse on the Laminil website as a “Founding Horse Angel.” There are other sponsorships available for bigger amounts, but we wanted everyone to be able to join in.

Laminil is an injectable drug designed to halt the inflammatory response and laminitis cascade of acute laminitis and active chronic laminitis.

Two weeks ago, we previewed our crowdfunding video highlighting the recovery of horses treated with Laminil in May. Viewers were amazed at the horses’ progress. The video is posted on our crowdfunding page. We encourage anyone who hasn’t seen it to watch it to see why we’re so excited about this drug.

Laminil developer Charlie Owen has been averaging five phone calls a day from veterinarians who want this drug to treat their patients. It’s time to make this happen. It’s time to end the suffering of horses that develop laminitis.
