Congratulations to London Liner on the Purchase of The Perfect Illusion

“On Monday, September 25th, I came home from school with no idea what was about to be thrown at me,” explains Youth London Liner. “I learned that for multiple weeks prior, my trainers, RJ King, Blair Townsend, and my parents, had been working on purchasing a new horse for me.”
It was true they’d all been conspiring to purchase London the horse of her dreams, The Perfect Illusion, the 2019 AQHA/APHA Chestnut Mare by The Lopin Machine and out of A Certain Illusion, by Certain Potential.
“Dolce” is a recognizable for her prowess at both AQHA and APHA major shows, and her winning ways with Amateur Alysia Nielson and Trainer RJ King, recently including highlights such as a Championship in the Maturity Limited Non Pro Western Pleasure and the Reserve BCF 4-6 YO Limited Non Pro Western Pleasure at the 2023 NSBA World Championship Show.
At the 2022 AQHA World Show, Dolce and Alysia won a Reserve in the 3 Year Old Non-Pro Western Pleasure, and with RJ, a Reserve in the 3 Year Old Open Western Pleasure Stakes and a Reserve in the L1 Western Pleasure Stakes.
In 2022 at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, she also won Bronze in the Limited Non-Pro 3 Year Old Western Pleasure, and two more major titles with RJ: the Reserve 3 Year Old & Over $2500 Novice Horse Open Western Pleasure Stakes, and the Bronze 3 Year Old Western Pleasure Futurity, just to name a few of her accolades from the past year.
London explains that A Perfect Illusion and Alysia Nielson have always been her favorite team to watch succeed in and out of the show ring.
“Never in my wildest dreams would I believe I would get to show this unbelievable mare. I can’t put into words how thrilled and excited I am to start this new chapter and see how I will grow and improve from this opportunity, but I want to personally acknowledge the King Show Horses team, as none of this would have been made possible without them. I am forever grateful for what these amazing people have done to help me understand these animals from a different perspective. I can’t wait to get in the saddle of my new teammate!”

Blair Townsend of King Show Horses reveals they’ve been looking for a horse for London for the 14-18 Western Pleasure for a while now, and they’ve had Dolce in the barn for the Nielson family for the last year and a half. “We approached them about selling her and everything worked out to where they let the Tarp family purchase her. We’re so thankful to them for allowing them to purchase her as we know it was a hard decision, and we’d like to extend our thanks to Trainer Blake Weis as well.”
London will be showing her in the Novice Youth 14-18 and the 12-14 Western Pleasure at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, and the goal for next year is the 14-18 Western Pleasure and RJ will show her in the Junior Pleasure, Blair explains.
“I am so excited for London and the Tarp family on their purchase of Dolce,” Alysia Nielson says. “Dolce is such a special horse to me and was my first real introduction into the Pleasure. I was so blessed to be able to learn on a horse with so much natural talent and such a fun personality. She helped me reach success that was beyond anything I could have imagined and I can’t wait to see what these two achieve together.”
