City of Dixon Settles For $40 Million Out of Court Settlement Related to Crundwell Case

According to a piece by local news station, Sauk Valley.com, the city of Dixon, Illinois just reached a $40 million out of court settlement with former auditors and a bank they claim were to blame for Rita Crundwell’s theft of over 54 million. The official announcement was made yesterday by Mayor Burke. The sale of Crundwell’s assets has accumulated an approximate $10 million the city also hopes to receive soon.
