Keeping it Level at 2020 AQHA World Show

Earlier this spring, the AQHA Executive Committee waived the qualification requirements for the 2020 AQHA World Championship Show due to effects of the worldwide coronavirus pandemic on the showing industry. Exhibitors and their American Quarter Horses will still need to meet Level 3, Level 2 and Level 1 eligibility requirements to compete at this year’s show. AQHA has released the list of open and amateur exhibitors who are ineligible to enter and show horses in the Adequan® Level 2 Championships at the 2020 AQHA World Show, tentatively scheduled for November 5-21 at OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

The showing industry is cautiously returning to competition after approximately 40% of shows were cancelled or rescheduled this spring due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. In The Equine Chronicle 3 and Over Maiden Horse Western Pleasure, the winner was Aaron Moses with Made Ya Look for Brent and Kate Bamford. This team won $15,000. Second place was Kristy Starnes with The Lopin Illusion, winning $7,500. Third was Clay Arrington with Made In The Dark, winning $5,000. Fourth was Mike Hachtel with The Best Principles for Jane Backes, winning $3,500. Splitting fifth was Chris Jones with Sheza Good Mechanic, winning $2,750 for Kassandra Fordice and Brian Cox with Theexclusivemartini, winning $2,750 for Jeffrey Carpenter.
