Around the Ring Photos and Results- Iowa PHC Fun In The Sun

The temperatures were hot, but the competition was even hotter at the Iowa Paint Horse Club’s Fun In The Show, July 20-21, in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Iowa Equestrian Center was the site of the two-day, four-judge event that hosted Dawn Taylor, Laura Gilmer, Kathy Boggetta, and Susan Stafford.
Big winners under judge Kathryn Boggetta included Sabrina Seehafer with All That I Got in Amateur Walk Trot Showmanship, Sydney DePauw in 18 and Under Showmanship with All Day Every Day, and Laurie Koenig in Novice Amateur Showmanship with By Assets Only. Tracy Pohlman led Hell On The Heart to a first place finish in Amateur Performance Halter, as did Catherine Goffard with Gallant Zippo in Youth Performance Halter Geldings, and Tawny Langenfeld with Kewl Zippin Strider in Amateur Performance Halter Geldings.
Under judge, Susan Stafford, winners included Kelsey More with One Cool Cowboy in Novice Amateur Showmanship, Lindsay Mclain with Al I Wanna Do in Amateur Showmanship, and Teri Nielsen with Jamin Hot Definition in Amateur Performance Halter Mares. Lauren Zaddack and Lopin Big Time received a first in Amateur Performance Halter Geldings, as did Erika Law with Shes A Classicimpulse in Overo Color, One Year and Older, and Colin Koenig with By Assets Only in Tobiano Color, One Year Old and Over.
Under judge Dawn Taylor, Alexa Hattan led Yours Only to win 18 and Under Showmanship, as did Denise Sommerlot with LF Black Gold in Amateur Walk Trot Showmanship. Other winners included Caitlin Hull with VS Hot Mess in Amateur Showmanship, Laurie Koenig with By Assets Only in Novice Amateur Showmanship, and Ronald Dearing with Invitation To Ride in Amateur Performance Halter Geldings.
Laura Gilmer awarded first place prizes to Ellen Behuelin with Platinum Jeansrfancy in Amateur Walk Trot Horsemanship and Justin Britton with In Victory Lane in Senior Western Pleasure. Other winners included Lexa Winn with Heza Flamin Cajun in Novice Youth Trail, Lauren Zaddack with Lopin Big Time in Jackpot Hunter Under Saddle, and Erika Law with Shes A Classicimpulse in Novice Amateur Equitation.
