AQHA/APHA Stallion Figured Im Invited Joins Hassinger-Owned Lineup

Breaking News! Hassinger Farm is incredibly excited to announce the newest addition to the Hassinger-Owned Stallion Lineup – AQHA/APHA stallion, Figured Im Invited. “Ray J” was hand-selected by the Stallion & Breeding Manager, Dr. Chelsea Sinclair, for new owners Dr. Jim and Amy Hassinger to add to their already impressive lineup of talented stallions. They knew they wanted an up-and-coming pleasure stallion that not only had a great show record, but also demonstrated an impeccable promise to become part of the next generation of industry leading sires. They ultimately found that with Figured Im Invited.

Figured Im Invited’s show career is one that has made many dreams come true along the way. He is both an AQHA & APHA World Champion, as well as Congress Champion. Just some of his major accomplishments include:

Figured Im Invited’s impressive show record wasn’t the only thing that caught their attention. Dr. Sinclair says “One of the biggest things that drew me to Ray J was the quality and consistency of the foals he is producing. Even on a variety of mares, every foal he has put on the ground is conformationally correct and beautiful-legged. Consistent quality is the number one indicator for me when looking at a stud that is going to really make a long-lasting mark on the industry.” Ray J’s first foal crop was born this year and he already has a Non-Pro Futurity Champion and Open Reserve Futurity Champion with Angela Turcotte’s “Figured I Made it.”
Developing a horse like this certainly takes a village and Figured Im Invited’s village, both past and present, is not short on love and adoration for this great stallion. His new owner, Amy Hassinger of Hassinger Farm, says “I have been enthralled by Figured Im Invited since he was first presented to me by Dr. Sinclair. We already have so much love and high hopes for Ray J and we truly believe he can be one of the industry’s greats! We are looking forward to being the next part of his journey.” The decision to allow Ray J to move on to the next step in his career as a sire by his former owners, Shilo and Garrett Eggers, was a tough family decision.
“Tim and Shannon Gillespie’s unrelenting dedication and support helped us achieve our dreams of winning World Titles with Figured Im Invited, and Shannon Yeaton was instrumental in getting his breeding career going. We have reached a point in life where our focus has shifted from being about us to being about our 8-year-old animal loving daughter,” said Shilo. “Chelsea and the Hassinger’s love of Ray J is equal to our own and combined the legacy that all those before me have built into Ray J, he is well on his way to becoming a household name in the industry. Hassinger’s elite and state of art breeding facility combined with their care will catapult him further. We are excited to continue to be a part of Ray J’s team and we will always be his biggest fans!” says Shilo.
The love for this horse has been carried through since the beginnings of his career while he was owned and shown by his previous owner, Marie-France D’Hondt and trainer Torey Roderick. “Everyone involved with Figured Im Invited from the very beginning through now has a strong desire to continue to be a part of his team and his trajectory. I think that is what makes this horse and this situation so special – he truly has an international squad of people who firmly believe in him and what he brings to the table as a sire.” says Dr. Sinclair, his new breeding manager.
Figured Im Invited was bred and raised out of the remarkable breeding program of Debbi Trubee. Debbi says “I begged for two years to purchase Ray J’s dam and he was my first foal out of her. He exceeded my expectations and was the kindest soul. I knew then that he showed great promise as a future sire with his correct conformation, movement and mind.” It is no secret that Debbi has a keen and critical eye for stallion prospects, having bred and raised both Makin Me Willy Wild and Winnies Willy. “They have to check all of the boxes and then some to stay intact in our program, and Ray J fit that bill,” Debbi stated.
Figured Im Invited has been piloted and handled by a slew of industry greats, including Blake Britton, Aaron Moses, Tim and Shannon Gillespie, Torey Roderick, Gretchen Mathes, and Geno Spagnola just to name a few. This is a fine demonstration of the wide net he has cast of professionals that believed in his abilities in the show pen. Then, you add the fact that Ray J has taken both of his former amateur owners to World titles, demonstrating the outstanding mind and kind demeanor of this great stallion – he is the total package.

As an added bonus for the APHA and double-registered breeders, he is also homozygous W20! His 2024 breeding fee will remain at $2,250, with considerations given for proven mares and producers.
