When Tami Farnsworth first saw Break N The Law—a 2018 sorrel AQHA gelding known around the barn as Peyton—she knew he was the kind of horse who could grow into something truly special.
Farnsworth and her husband, Mike Hachtel, bought Peyton in 2019, and they brought him along slowly, later showing him in the Non-Pro Western Pleasure as a three-year-old.
After his three-year-old season, Peyton was sent to Sara Simons of Simons Show Horses to start his trail career. During his four-year-old year in 2022, Peyton quickly proved to be naturally talented in trail as well. He earned several circuit awards, was reserve champion in the maiden Trail Futurity at the World Equestrian Center (WEC) in Florida, and he capped off the season as the NSBA World Champion in Green Junior Trail.
“He was really on his way,” Farnsworth explains. “He had such a successful 2022 in the trail arena—it was super exciting to see him come into his own.”
