Throughout the history of AQHA, its leadership has emphasized the importance of inspiring the next generation of riders and supporting current members. These fundamentals inspired the AQHA Amateur Ambassador Program, which allows veteran amateurs to be a resource to all exhibitors at the shows. As delegates of the program, the Amateur Ambassadors are a source of contact for a variety of information, including stalling and bedding information, showbill questions, pattern information, official show veterinarian contacts, farrier contacts, membership information, and accessing the AQHA rulebook.
These amateur liaisons offer a face-to-face resource for exhibitors and encour-age communication with AQHA staff. To be an amateur ambassador, the individuals must currently be an AQHA Member and Affiliate Member. These Ambassadors introduce themselves on social media prior to the horse show they will be at-tending and share show information–such as patterns–once released. The goal of the Ambassadors program is to share show information through presence at the shows as well as digital support through QR codes on pamphlets, information about the show on a whiteboard in the office, or through the Padlet.
