Becca Britton wins 2YO Open Western Pleasure Stakes Limited with Nettworth for Dakota King Phelps

Becca Britton piloted Nettworth to a Congress Championship in the last class of the day, the 2 Year Old Open Western Pleasure Stakes – Limited NSBA, in the Celeste on Thursday at the 2025 All American Quarter Horse Congress for owner Dakota King Phelps. The payout – an impressive $1382.20.

Becca says they bought the eye-catching, black gelding by Nothin But Nett in February, and he was pretty green, but they liked “Kobe,” for his striking color and his movement.

“I have two wonderful geldings with Blake and Becca,” explains Dakota, “and I wanted another wonderful gelding with them.”

“He’s black, and he’s beautiful, and he jogged really good,” adds Becca. “That sold us right away.

“And I love a good jogger!” says Dakota.

Becca says she showed Kobe earlier in the show in the 2YO Open Western Pleasure Stakes (they earned a Reserve Congress Championship with a payout of $1435.36), and he was really good – and he was good in this class, too.  “He’s just turned into a little show horse – he likes it best in the arena. He’s beautiful, he jogs good, and he holds his neck good – there’s so much to like about him.”

Dakota may show him down the road, she laughs, but she’ll let Becca have the reins a little longer.

Though this wasn’t Becca’s first Congress Championship, it was in the Hunt Seat, but this is her first western win, and definitely Dakota’s – and it’s her baby’s first Congress.  Dakota says she’s very blessed to have her support team that also includes her husband, Quinton, and her baby, Dallas Belle, and the support of her parents.
