The Northwest Emerald’s 40th Anniversary and the Southwest Washington Paint Horse Club’s 50th Anniversary Celebration wraps up today, Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, WA.
The AQHA/APHA Show offers four judges total, with Clint Fullerton and Charlie Cole for show one, and all four judges including Kevin Hood and Sandy Curl for show two. The Master Futurity, an open two-year-old class, is a highlight of the show, accompanied by the Masters Party, sponsored by Dr Candice Hall and Dr Cory Seebach in recognition of the legacy of Machine Made, who makes his home in the Northwest.
The Washington State Quarter Horse Association focuses on unity, and their mission statement on their home page states this: “The WSQHA/AQHA partnership will unite the American Quarter Horse owners in our communities to develop and provide beneficial services for all horse owners which enhance and encourage American Quarter Horse ownership and participation. To generate growth of WSQHA membership via educational programs, recognition, monitoring public policy, marketing, promotion and publicity of the American Quarter Horse.”
It is followed by this important motto: “Hooves, Heart, and Family: Riding Together in Washington.”
