The dates for the 2017 Level 1 Championships are:
-April 11-15: 2017 Farnam Central AQHA Level 1 Championships, State Fair Park, Oklahoma City
-April 19-23: 2017 AQHA West Level 1 Championships, South Point Equestrian & Events Center, Las Vegas
-May 2-7: 2017 Nutrena East AQHA Level 1 Championships, Gov. James B. Hunt Horse Complex, Raleigh, North Carolina
Patti Carter, AQHA senior director of judges, and Melynda Ackley, AQHA manager of competition operations, will teach the in-depth workshops in San Antonio and Amarillo, which will take a deeper look into marketing, promoting, organizing and managing AQHA shows. AQHA show management workshops are a great opportunity to review new rules and procedures for the upcoming year. The workshop in Amarillo will also be available via webcast.

Born in Cleveland on Aug. 3, 1938, he dreamed of being a cowboy and spent the rest of his life living that dream. He was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a founding member of the Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Association. In 1997, he was elected to the OQHA Board of Directors and he served as Tri-Chairman at the All American Quarter Horse Congress since 2005.
