The contestants are divided into three different age divisions: 9 and under, 10-14 and 15-18. Winning artwork will be spotlighted at the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas, June 23–July 4 and then displayed at the APHA headquarters for the next year. Winners receive $100, and second-place finishers receive $75.
Continue reading …For 2015, the AQHA Show Committee has reworked VRH, creating six classes: VRH ranch riding, VRH ranch trail, VRH ranch reining, VRH ranch cow work, VRH ranch cutting and VRH ranch conformation. The Association’s new ranch division gives exhibitors the opportunity to compete in the open, amateur, youth and cowboy divisions in any one of the classes; exhibitors are not required to compete in all six classes.

Continue reading …It’s pretty tough to go from first place, under both judges one day, to last place the next, especially when I’m reading on social media about everyone else’s success. It seems as if these days, Facebook news feeds are filled with happy pictures and cheerful posts about World Show qualifying, titles accomplished, ribbons earned, and trophies won.
