At 9 a.m. on February 18, 116 of the best horses in America will make their first run inside Cowtown Coliseum’s 95-foot arena as they vie for cash and a chance to compete at THE AMERICAN, the world’s richest single-day rodeo. Should one person win both semi-final rounds, he or she could earn a whopping $48,577.

The gelding, sired by Pets Ready Chex and out of Sandy Cheetah, is owned by Patricia Parker of Melbourne, Kentucky. Another American Quarter Horse, Skyrocket To Stardum, is featured on Sports Illustrated’s website and videos.

Gearing Up For 2015 AQHA Region 8 Championship Show, June in TX.

The 2015 event will be held at the Amarillo National Center, Tri-State Fairgrounds, June 18-21, 2015. The Region 8 Championship Show will host three judges and the three Quarter Horse shows will host three judges with three sets of AQHA points. The show will start at 7:30 am daily.
