“The main question being asked is if there is a chance to reverse the CWA recommendation and possibly also save the K-State program. As of now, the CWA recommendation has not been officially adopted so there is always a chance. The reality is that this is a complicated situation that will require a strategic approach. The horse industry will work alongside collegiate equestrian officials to find the best game plan.”

Crews first learned about her condition when she had a seizure two years ago. An MRI showed three tumors on her brain that, because of the location, are inoperable. Crews continues to lead as normal a life as possible, and said she is grateful for the opportunities that her involvement with Western Wishes has brought her.

ID stations are open one hour before classes begin each day, and they close at 5 p.m. daily—make sure your horse is positively identified well ahead of your class, as you’ll need a stamp on the exhibitor numbers to be eligible to show. You can also get your numbers laminated at the ID station after they are stamped.
