They are the stall cleaners, silver polishers, cab drivers, makeup artists, personal organizers, point keepers, videographers, cheering squads, personal chefs, therapists, horse groomers, motivational speakers, and so much more. They are horse show moms, and without this special group of ladies, the world would be a much more complicated, and not to mention disorganized, place.
Continue reading …Eight Thoroughbreds died in an early morning fire May 9 at a barn and adjoining annex located on Rice Road in Lexington, Ky., across from the rear entrance to the Keeneland stable area. As of 8 a.m., fire investigators were on the scene to determine the cause.

The Ashley Marie Huntington Memorial Royalty Scholarship contest will present a $1,000 scholarship to the winner and will include lots of other great prizes. Contestants may be of any age as long as they are currently enrolled or plan to go to college.
