Fort Worth’s Will Rogers Memorial Center to Add New Pavilion/Covered Arena- $4.7 Million Project

The $4.7-million project is planned to begin in early March and should take approximately 7-8 months to complete. The 145’ x 300’ Pavilion will comfortably accommodate a 125’ x 250’ covered open-air arena with covered access to the Richardson-Bass Building and the John Justin Arena.

Tuesday might have been the Super Bowl’s media day in the ‘Big Apple,’ but now the star of broadcast airwaves will be a flashy, Arabian gelding and his favorite rider and trainer. Acclaimed Denver Broncos’ mascot, Thunder and his rider/trainer, Ann Judge-Wegener will make an early appearance on both the NBC’s Today Show and FOX’s morning show, FOX & Friends on Friday morning, January 31, 2014.

According to the Austin Daily Herald, a rollover accident that took place over the weekend has sadly left one World Champion halter horse stallion dead. Given his well-deserved celebrity status, Thunder will be traveling in style to the big game in a specially designed plane much like those used to transport international competition horses overseas. The size of his stall, the temperature of the plane, and other important details concerning the cabin atmosphere and experience of the flight have been considered to ensure that Thunder arrives well-rested and ready to perform in New Jersey.
