2013 American Miniature Horse Association World Championship to Take Place in Fort Worth After Reichert Celebration

Beautifully refined small equine competitors from all over the world are expected to compete at the 2013 American Miniature Horse Association (AMHA) World Championship Show at Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth, Texas September 26 – October 5.

The AMHA World Show is the most prestigious Miniature Horse show in the world. Annually awarding championships in approximately 200 different classes, the competition ranges from beautiful halter to exciting driving classes. Other classes include obstacle, liberty and the thrilling jumping classes. These classes showcase the unbelievable versatility of the Miniature horse.

Spectators are invited to come out and enjoy the exciting driving and jumping classes as well as the creative costume classes. This international event draws exhibitors and spectators from as far away as Germany, the Netherlands, France and Australia and can be viewed in its entirety live on the web.

For 14 consecutive years the AMHA World Championship show has made its home at the Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth. Classes and events are added and expanded each year to accommodate the growing versatility of our horses and exhibitors. The event brings in over $1.4 million in direct expenditures to the local Texas economy. The AMHA will distribute over $150,000 in trophies, ribbons, Futurity and cash awards at the show.

The show offers a number of added features and events for exhibitors and spectators including the AMHyA (youth) Calcutta, pizza and root beer float parties, photo, art and essay contests, a golf cart raffle, and this year the Gelding Incentive Committee and Amateur Committee will host a wine and cheese party and auction off a Miniature horse during the Futurity classes.

Each year the World Show attracts families and horse lovers from all over the globe who come to admire these majestic small equines.
