In Loving Memory of AQHA Hall of Famer, Anne Marion

The only child of Anne “Miss Anne” Burnett Tandy, Marion was raised in Fort Worth, Texas, to be a strong businesswoman who appreciated the arts and loved the ranch that would someday be hers. She spent her summers on the Four Sixes Ranch in Guthrie, Texas, established in 1870 by her great-grandfather Samuel “Burk” Burnett. At a young age, she earned the respect of the cowboys as she learned to ride horses and do the things they did. Her strong will and determination made her a fine leader, both in the ranching industry and the business world.

Orren Mixer Art Inspires New Series of Breyer Horses- AQHA is First Release

The first release in the Ideal Series is the AQHA Ideal. Commissioned by the American Quarter Horse Association in 1968, Mixer’s AQHA Ideal image is still used by the organization today. Affectionately known as “the Mixer Horse,” the original painting hangs in the AQHA’s headquarters in Texas.

One Day Can Change Everything- Prayers For Autumn Zundel

One day, 13-year-old Autumn Zundel was an active AQHA youth exhibitor. The next, Autumn was in the Cardiac Care Unit of the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh undergoing surgery for a mediastinal mass lodged in between her heart and lungs.
