#1- Horse Show Tracker- All American Quarter Horse Congress App- FREE

Horse Show Tracker provides official information for the 2014 All American Quarter Horse Congress. The app is divided into four sections: Classes, News Feed, Events, and More.

Classes– Probably the most helpful feature of this app is the Classes section, which provides an easy-to-use method of searching for classes by either date or discipline. For example, click on Ranch Horse Pleasure to see that the Open Ranch Horse Pleasure class was scheduled to take place this morning, 10/10/14, and had an estimated time of 7:00 am in the Coliseum. Click on each class heading to view class draws, runs/scratches, current leaders, and final results.

Events– This tab provides information including dates and times for specialty events at the Congress such as Cutting, Professional Bull Riding, Freestyle Reining, Congress Super Sale, Equine Chronicle Masters 2-Year-Old classes, and the Night Riding schedule.

News FeedThis section provides brief “Twitter-style” descriptions of activities happening on the show grounds, such as “Cutting results now available by tapping the home screen’s More… icon” or “Updated draw for NRHA Open Reining-Finals.”

MoreClick on this tab to view Stall Assignments, Patterns, Night Riding Schedule, Congress Location Map, and 2014 Congress Judges listing.

#2- Shoeboxed Receipt and Mileage Tracker- FREE

This award-winning app, as featured on The Today Show, in the New York Times, and in The Wall Street Journal, provides a simple way to clear off your truck dash of all those countless gas, food, and hotel receipts. Take a picture of a receipt, upload it to Shoeboxed, and turn it into actual data that can be used to export into expense reports. There’s even a feature that makes tracking mileage for horse shows a breeze.

Ever lost an important business card you’d stuck in your jeans pocket to the watery depths of your washing machine? This app allows users to snap a picture of a business card and transform it into a contact on your phone.

Save a picture of each receipt and list it as either Reimbursable, Deductible, or I’m Not Sure, in addition to adding special notes you need to remember later. For example, “Remember to split Regu-Mate for three horses: Susie, Blaze, and Nicky.” You can also instantly send expense reports to clients from your email.
