After Anheuser Busch announced last week that they would not be featuring the infamous Clydesdales in their Budweiser commercial for the Super Bowl, horse lovers around the nation were outraged.
Well, horse enthusiasts everywhere have spoken, and as a result the Clydesdales have regained their rightful place of honor in a Budweiser ad during the 4rth quarter last night.
If you didn’t get a chance to see the commercial, you can go to FanHouse’s website to view full coverage of all the ads from Super Bowl XLIV.
This year’s Budweiser commercial featured the enduring strength of a friendship between a Clydesdale foal and a baby longhorn calf. While this particular version may not have been as clever as some of their other ads, (like the zebra referee of 2003), it was still heartwarming, sweet and featured a few beautiful Clydesdale horses.
Currently, the Clydesdale commercial is rated as the #3 top ad of Super Bowl XLIV, according to a FanHouse poll. So apparently the lesson to Anheuser Busch advertising executives is this – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Horses are always the right choice.
