After Wendy Habighorst took over ownership in 2007, business has more than doubled and Show Me Again has strengthened their reputation as the best source for both new and used designer horse show clothing in the industry.
The overwhelming popularity of their website has prompted an upgrade in order to better serve the Show Me Again consigner, purchaser and designer. Wendy Habighorst says the idea to revamp the website has been in the works for a long time.
“I’ve wanted to give the website a facelift and streamline operations since taking ownership,” she says. “But I needed to focused on securing the market share. It is also hard to change a website that everyone already loves! ”
Habighorst says over the past year, she has surrounded herself with trustworthy and dedicated employees who have helped immensely with behind-the-scenes operations, which allowed her to focus on the revamping process.
“We have been working around the clock on the new site for the past several months to move existing inventory over and prepare new consignments as well,” she says. “It has been intense and I personally can’t wait to see the final product go live.”
The purpose of the new site is to provide a more modern feel with feature-rich options for both the Show Me Again consigner and purchaser. The end result will help save time and make the process more user-friendly.
Habighorst reveals that one of the new features on the site include an online inventory database which will allow consigners to view the status of their pieces online.
“As a consignor, you can log on at any time to see the status of your inventory, whether it is sale pending, a final sale, or if it has been returned,” she says.
With the overwhelming growth of her business and the ever-increasing number of consignment pieces Show Me Again receives, Habighorst says many of the behind-the-scenes operations have been automated. This is a time-saving feature for her and one of the primary reasons why the new website was created.
“This will allow me to focus on customer relationships instead of rigorous business operations,” she says.
Another exciting new feature for the buyer includes new search field options.
“Previously, items were broadly categorized ONLY by size, event, designer, price and sale items,” she says.
Habighorst recognizes that for the potential buyer, looking at page after page of clothing can get a little cumbersome and there may still be many items to sort through that are not relevant to their search.
“While you can still look at fan favorites like Just Added, Brand New, Sale Items and Last Chance, the New Search Box is intended to save time and make it easier for the buyer to find exactly what he or she is looking for,” she says. “You may narrow the categories to as few or as many that match your request, including item type, price, size, designer, event type and now color.”
Another new feature is the Favorites page.
“When you take the time to find the items you love, simply log in and save them so you may come back later,” she says. “I love the shopping experience and realize it is usually not an impulse purchase, but rather a process. We will make it both fun and easy.”
