Judge’s Questionnaire
JUDGE: Clint Fullerton
• Other than Tulsa March Mania, what is your favorite show that the Equine Chronicle sponsors? The Equine Chronicle Color Classic at the Reichert Celebration.
• What is the worst (or best) prank you ever played on another judge? I don’t do that. You know for me a show is just another day at the office. I have a personal life for that sort of stuff.
• How long did it take you to respond when asked to judge Tulsa March Mania? About two seconds.
• What evil lurks behind your smile? Laughs evilly — I’m kind of an evil person.
• If you could go to a horse show as a celebrity who would you be? Besides myself? Gordon Ramsey from Hell’s Kitchen. He says what he wants when he wants.
• What prize that has been awarded at Tulsa March Mania is the most memorable to you? The Make A Wish fundraiser last year was the most memorable even thought it was not a prize. I also liked the Rolex Watch that Marylyn and Paul Caliendo donated.
JUDGE: Brendan Brown
• Other than Tulsa March Mania, what is your favorite show that the Equine Chronicle sponsors? Scottsdale Classic
• What is the worst (or best) prank you ever played on another judge? I think the best prank was when Robin Frid was exhibiting in a Trainer Showmanship Class. When I judged him, I decided I was going to get him. So I wadded up toilet paper and put it up my sleeve. When I walked up next to his horse, I grabbed the horses’ ear. You really couldn’t see the toilet paper in my hand and so I started pulling the toilet paper out of the horses’ ear. I had a pretty good pile on the ground and the crowd loved it. Robin Frid did not know what to do, he wouldn’t even look at me. It brought a good laugh from the crowd.
• How long did it take you to respond when asked to judge Tulsa March Mania? Two seconds. I enjoy the show so much it was a no brainer. I would make time in my schedule.
• What evil lurks behind your smile? That is probably too deep to go into so would have to ask my therapist about that.
• If you could go to a horse show as a celebrity who would you be? That’s a hard one. John Wayne — I think it would be interested to ride around at the show with a rifle, holding the reins in my teeth.
• What prize that has been awarded at Tulsa March Mania is the most memorable to you? Even though I wasn’t there, the Make A Wish donation meant a lot to a lot of people so I think that was the best prize awarded.
JUDGE: Lisa Moden
• Other than Tulsa March Mania, what is your favorite show that the Equine Chronicle sponsors? The Equine Chronicle Color Classic at the Reichert Celebration.
• What is the worst (or best) prank you ever played on another judge? It was at Quarter Horse Congress. There were four judges and we were talking about how we all placed a person that was in the class. We asked one of the judges how he placed the exhibitor in the class and he responded that he did not know her and did not know she was even in the class. He got all panicked when we kept asking what he did with her. We finally told him that the person in question was not even in the class.
• How long did it take you to respond when asked to judge Tulsa March Mania? Karen asked me to judge it last year but I couldn’t due to the AQHA convention. This year I responded immediately because I wanted to judge it.
• What evil lurks behind your smile? I don’t know about that. I try not to let evil in the door. Evil is not part of my life.
• If you could go to a horse show as a celebrity who would you be? Oh, my. Do we get the money, body and all??? (Absolutely) Reba McIntyre — she can ride, sing, and she is sweet to everyone.
• What prize that has been awarded at Tulsa March Mania is the most memorable to you? I have never attended

• What is the worst (or best) prank you ever played on another judge? You can’t print this. I had a customer that had a personalized license plate that said “I Go Down” because her husband was a scuba diver. So we went up and had the announcer at the horse show announce that whoever is driving the Red Dodge with personalized plates “I Go Down” you left your lights on. My buddy was starting his trail pattern and started laughing at the announcement and hits every pole in the pen. He had been giving me a hard time about my customer and her license plate. —– Are you sure you want to print that?
