As per Rodney Dabagian, this is the only mare incentive program of its kind. What makes this program so special is that Bonita Quarter Horses only breeds superb show mares that have proven themselves as great producers and/or have a high potential as a producer.
In addition, Bonita Quarter Horse foals are eligible to utilize the Reichert Two Year Old Slot Class, as was the case with Scott Hess and “The Original Cowboy.”
“We don’t know anyone else that stands behind their product quite like we do,” Rodney Dabagian says. “We’re incredibly excited to make this offer and can’t wait to see these future champions grace the show pen.”
Bonita Quarter Horses is a Quarter Horse operation located in California that specializes in raising World Class Halter, Western Pleasure and Performance Quarter Horses. Bonita Quarter Horses is owned by Rodney and Beth Dabagian.
“Quarter Horses have been our passion for generations,”Dabagian says.
He has been actively involved as a youth and open exhibitor showing many horses to top 5 and 10 at the AQHYA World Show, the All American Quarter Horse Congress, and the AQHA World Show. Rodney was also an AQHYA Officer, a Member of the AQHA Youth Committee for several years, and has has served on the PCQHA Board of Directors.
“We have a high degree of success in our horses competing and performing in the top 5 at the AQHA World Show, ” Dabagian says. “Our focus has been on quality and not quantity. Our program emphasizes temperament, correct conformation, and movement in the quarter horse. With this emphasis our horses compete in specific events at the Worlds largest and most prestigeous shows but still strive for the goal to earn AQHA and AQHYA Champions to demonstrate the qualities of temperament, conformation, and movement.”
Hannah O. Dabagian (Rodney’s and Beth’s daughter) a third generation Quarter Horse enthusiast began her show career at 10 years old in 2005. She is currently exhibiting the 2004 Senior Congress Champion Western Pleasure, 2005 Sun Circuit Champion “Flashy Zippers Best” in AQHA and NSBA youth and non pro western pleasure.
