NRHA Million Dollar Rider Randy Paul has released his first-ever album, called “The Sky.” In addition to his many talents as a reining and cow horse trainer, Paul is also a talented singer and songwriter, and all the songs on the album are ones Paul either wrote himself or collaborated on.
This CD has been more than 25 years in the making. Randy wrote one song, “Sunshine Lady,” for his wife, Andi, in 1984, and another, “Perfect World,” in 2009. The collaboration was a family affair, as daughter Lynzee contributed vocals to many songs, and her husband, Mark Foreman, served as producer. Paul recorded the album mostly from his own recording studio that he built in his house in Scottsdale, Arizona.
“I think he’s been wanting record something for a long time,” said Foreman. “I was the music director for a lot of Lynzee’s shows, so then he had someone to collaborate with, and it’s been really good.” Reining fans got a sneak peek of many of the songs on the album during a special concert with Lyle Lovett during the NRHA Futurity. It was the second concert Paul has performed with Lovett, and once again, fans were thrilled. Now, they have a chance to listen to Randy’s unique style any day of the week.
The CD will be available soon on www.randypaul.com, and Foreman says they plan to release it on iTunes and Amazon as well. The price is $12.99, and to order now, e-mail info@randypaul.com. Randy Paul is based out of Rancho Oso Rio in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is an NRHA Million Dollar Rider and has two AQHA World Championships and an NRHA Open Futurity title to his credit, in addition to multiple other reining and reined cow horse titles to his credit. He is proudly sponsored by Bob’s Custom Saddles, Rios of Mercedes Boots, Pro Equine, Nutrena and Bailey Hats.
