Each pasture should have a run-in shed. It should be placed with its back to the prevailing winds. If the land is rolling or hilly, try and place it in a higher spot so water doesn’t run into it and make sure the run-in shed is wider rather than deeper for shelter. This helps prevent horses becoming trapped by a bullying equine compatriot.
